ANDROID users have been warned to watch out for two words that will pop up on their devices when there is malicious activity.

The two words are intended to help Android users stay far away from bad apps.

The message will show up usually when you are downloading a third-party app that is also trying to install malicious files to your device

The warning comes as part of a new feature called restricted settings that has been added to the Android 13 and 14 operating systems.

The two-word pop message warning was brought to light by cyber security company Kaspersky on restricted settings in Android 13 and 14.

You’ll want to watch out for a warning that says “restricted access.”

If “restricted access” pops up when downloading an app that indicates it has a dangerous feature.

The message will show up usually when you are downloading a third-party app that is also trying to install malicious files to your device.

The malicious files may add access to other dangerous websites that you would usually be blocked from or try to hack into your data.

However, the new restricted access setting will help block this from occurring.

The message will say: “Restricted setting. For your security, this setting is currently unavailable.”

The malicious app may also try to gain access to your notifications or another feature called accessibility.

It is dangerous if a malicious app gets access to these because your notifications can contain a lot of personal information.

The accessibility feature is also a feature that gives virtual control of the device.

It is intended to be for people who may need additional help navigating through a device due to certain disabilities.

You do not want a malicious app to have any type of control on your device.

However, some malicious app developers have learned how to bypass the restricted settings feature.

So, it is also important to be wary of suspicious apps to protect yourself.
