If you’re unfamiliar with the rift, Apple’s iMessage gives users a blue bubble for their messages, while Android users have green bubbles for their SMS.

But Android phone brand Nothing has decided to bring a stripped down form of iMessage to its 2million customers.

The Nothing Chats app for the Nothing Phone 2 lets customers disguise themselves when texting iOS users.

It let’s texts appear in blue for iPhone owners, instead of the classic Android green.

There has lengthy been a battle between Android and iOS over which system is best.

And iMessage has been a trump card that Apple has long held close to its chest.

The two factions; Android and iOS, remain divided, with each side judging the other for the downfall of their respective handsets.

To bridge the gap between the two ‘frenemies’, Nothing has use a platform called Sunbird, which aims to turn green bubbles blue on Android.

The Nothing Phone 2’s new feature will only be available in the US, Canada, UK and countries within the European Union.

But while you’ll get the blue bubbles – you won’t get much else.

The rest of the features enjoyed by iPhone owners, such as emoji stickers, editing, read receipts and message reactions, are not available – for now.

Sunbird says some iOS features are “coming soon”.

How to use it?

To set it up on your Nothing Phone 2 device, you will need to log into Nothing Chats – which will soon be available on the Google Play store.

Users must log in to Nothing Chats with an existing Apple ID username, or by making a new Apple account.

If you own another Android phone that isn’t a Nothing device – say a Google or Samsung – then, unfortunately, you’re out of luck.

Sunbird is currently invite-only, making it a perk exclusive to only Nothing Phone 2 owners.
