GMAIL is one of the world’s biggest email services with billions of users.
But did you know that you could find your account banned for breaking some very simple rules?
Be sure you’re well aware of them next time you login.
Sending too many emails
Believe it or not, there is actually a limit on the number of emails you can send.
It is very high though, so most of us need not worry.

If you do try and send one email to hundreds of people at once, it can trigger alarm bells on Google‘s side.
That’s because it is a sign of a spammer.
The tech giant will warn you by saying: “You have reached a limit for sending mail.”
This will appear if you try to send an email to more than 500 recipients in a single email and/or more than 500 emails sent in a day.

Fortunately, you won’t be banned for long.
Google says you should be able to send emails again within 1 to 24 hours.
But making this mistake constantly could risk a more permanent ban.
Sending too many emails to addresses that don’t exist
Similarly to the previous one, sending too many emails to addresses that no longer exist is another red flag.
This is once again another indication of a spammer, as they tend to send loads of emails out at once without any care about whether the addresses are active or not.
So if you send too many emails to non active addresses which result in a bonce back message, you could be mistaken for a spammer too.
You’ll have to send a fair few to trigger any alarms though.
But it’s good practice to double check the email address you’re sending to.
Google says you may be able to send emails again after 24 hours.
Sending anything illegal
It goes without saying that if you’re sending illegal stuff, your account could be banned.

This can range from selling drugs and fire arms, to distributing music and movies.
While Google can’t read your emails, it does use some AI detection tech to spot anything suspicious.
