After weeks of speculation, “Jeopardy!” said on Wednesday that the show will have not one, but two new hosts for the American game show.

Mike Richards, the show’s executive producer, and actress Mayim Bialik will host the show after one of the most closely watched hiring searches in show business, according to Sony Pictures Television.

“Richards will kick off Season 38 as the full-time host of the ‘Jeopardy!’ long-running daily syndicated program. Bialik joins as the host of the ‘Jeopardy!’ prime-time and spinoff series, including the coming all-new ‘Jeopardy!’ National College Championship,” a news release announcing the new hosts stated.

Mr. Richards has come under fire for his involvement in discrimination lawsuits during his tenure as executive producer of “The Price Is Right.” Fans have also expressed concern about a potential conflict of interest as Mr. Richards had helped facilitate the search for a new host.

Mr. Richards responded on Monday to backlash against his candidacy for the job.
