What is Winning Sips?
Winning sips is a new promotional campaign by McDonald’s that can see customers win money or a number of other items.
Every medium or large soft drink you purchase can win you exclusive prizes.
How does McDonald’s new game work?
There is more than one way to play the game.
The Instant Win game is where you peel a token off of the side of your selected soft drink.
You will have an instant win if you have one of the lucky tokens on the side of your drink.
The medium and large soft drinks the promotion appears on are as follows:
- Coca-Cola Zero Sugar
- Diet Coke
- Sprite Zero
- Coca-Cola Classic
- Fanta Orange
- Oasis
- Chocolate Milkshake
- Strawberry Milkshake
- Banana Milkshake
- Vanilla Milkshake
You must make your claim for the prize by submitting the security barcode which appears on the token.

It should be noted that this must be done in accordance with the rules, and must be submitted by the promotion deadline.
What can you win if you play Winning Sips?
There are a number of prizes you can receive by taking a winning sip.
The rules are different for the two games.
For the instant win prize, you can win cash prizes up to £100, as well as free items from the McDonald’s menu.
For the app game, there are two categories of prize, these are tier one and tier two.
Tier one prizes are bigger cash prizes. These can only be obtained through a “Winning moment”.
Winning moments only occur once a minute, and last 0.3 seconds. If you enter during that exact moment, you could win one of the following cash prizes:
- £200
- £100
- £50
- £20
- £10
- £5
If you do not enter at a winning moment, you will be given one of four outcomes.
This is either a small cash prize, a food or drink item from the menu, McDonald’s merchandise, or entry into a prize draw.
The prize draw will see ten lucky winners receive £10,000.
