McDonald’s monopoly 2022 prizes: How to redeem codes explained

MCDONALD’S is relaunching its famous Monopoly game, offering up chances to win huge prizes.

The fast food giant is kick-starting the game again from Wednesday, September 7.

It was originally launched in 2005 and works similarly to the Monopoly board game.

Customers collect “game pieces” when they buy qualifying McDonald’s products, such as colour co-ordinated road names or train stations.

They come as stickers which appear on your food packaging.

But what happens once you’ve got the stickers, and how do you redeem them? Below, we explain all.

There are a whole range of prizes you can win on McDonald’s Monopoly this year.

Once you’ve collected your stickers, here’s what you could win.

If you get multiple stickers you can try and collect property sets that will put you in line to win some big prizes.

How do I redeem my codes?

Instant win food prizes can be redeemed at any McDonald’s branch by handing the token over at the counter when you order.

You can also cash in game pieces on the touch screen kiosks in store or via the app by inputting the 12 digit prize code.

You’ll need to hand the game pieces over to a member of staff when you collect your meal.

If you’ve won free food in the online game then you’ll get a unique QR code, along with a 12 digit code that you can scan or enter at the kiosk or via the app.

There are so many different prizes up for grabs through McDonald’s Monopoly and the way you need to claim them will vary.

You won’t be able to redeem tokens in a McDonald’s branch unless it’s food.

Each winning token comes with a particular website address printed on it. This is where you’ll need to redeem it.

If you have won, you may need to provide some of your personal details including your date of birth, email address, phone number, full name and address.

You will then be asked to select how you would like to receive your winnings.

This will be either via email or delivered depending on the gift.

Voucher codes can then be redeemed directly from the retailers that issued them.
