MCDONALD’S is adding six items to its menu today including the Grand Big Mac.
The limited edition burger contains the same ingredients as the regular Big Mac but in a bigger size.
A normal Big Mac is made up of two beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions and is sandwiched between a three-piece sesame seed bun.
McDonald’s confirmed it was bringing back the bigger Grand version in an update to customers last week.
The Grand Big Mac will be available from 11am today for six weeks, until March 23, priced at £4.39 for just the burger.
For a medium meal with a side and drink, the price is £5.79.
What’s new to the McDonald’s menu?
MCDONALD’S is switching up its menu from today, February 10, for six weeks.
Here’s what will be available:
- Grand Big Mac (£4.39 for just the burger, or £5.79 for a medium meal)
- Grand Big Mac with Bacon (£4.79 for just the burger, or £6.19 for a medium meal)
- NEW Homestyle Crispy Chicken (£4.79 for just the burger, or £6.09 for a medium meal)
- Mozzarella Dippers (£1.89 for three dippers or £5.09 for nine dippers)
- McFlurry Flake (99p for mini size, or £1.39 for a regular size)
- McFlurry Raspberry Flake (99p for mini size, or £1.39 for a regular size)
You can also get it with added bacon too, which costs £4.79 for the burger on its own or £6.19 for a medium meal.
The price of both burgers is the same as when they were last sold in January 2020.
In comparison, a regular Big Mac costs around £3.19 but prices do vary depending on your restaurant location.
McDonald’s is also adding four other options to its menu from today, including the Homestyle Crispy Chicken and Mozzarella Dippers.
The Homestyle Crispy Chicken – which is the only new product and costs £4.79, or £6.09 for a medium meal – is made up of crispy chicken breast, hot and spicy mayo and caramelised onion compote, lettuce, bacon, red onions, and cheese.
Mozzarella Dippers, meanwhile, are cheese sticks coated in breadcrumbs, served with a salsa dip, and come in a sharing box of nine for £5.09, or three dippers for £1.89.
The last menu additions are McFlurry with Flake, and the McFlurry with Raspberry Flake, which will be available in regular and mini sizes, priced at £1.39 and 99p.
But the menu change does mean McDonald’s now no longer sells Kastu Nuggets, the Big Tasty and Galaxy Salted Caramel McFlurry,
These were introduced to the menu on November 30 but only for six weeks, with the restaurant chain having stopped selling them yesterday, February 9.
But some customers were left fuming after the Katsu nuggets sold out before menu change.
McDonald’s restaurants are currently closed for dine-in and walk-in takeaway.
But customers can still order for home delivery via Just Eat or Uber Eats, or through a McDonald’s drive-thru.
Just keep in mind that if you’re ordering food from Just Eat or Uber Eats, you’ll pay extra for delivery.
This usually varies depending on how far away from the restaurant you are and you’ll be told the price before you pay for your food.
You can find your nearest McDonald’s by using its restaurant locator tool.
Before you tuck in, you should note that a Grand Big Mac burger contains a hefty 726 calories, or 777 with bacon.
A regular Big Mac has 508 calories.
