MCDONALD’S customers have been left furious thanks to a nationwide shortage of the hugely popular Chicken Selects.
Big Flavour Chicken Wraps and the Chicken Deluxe Burger, both of which contain Selects, have also vanished from menus.

McDonald’s confirmed that the shortage is “temporary” and says that its restaurants may run out this week.
One Twitter user posted a picture of a sign at her local McDonald’s which read: “Sorry, Chicken Selects and Big Flavour Wraps are currently unavailable due to a Nation Wide Shortage.”
When The Sun checked at local London restaurants neither the Selects, Wraps nor the Chicken Deluxe Burger were currently on the menu anywhere.
Both the Sweet Chilli Chicken wrap (crispy) and the BBQ & Bacon Chicken Wrap (crispy) are listed as “temporarily unavailable”.
In fact, the only wrap that you can order at the moment is the Spicy Veggie One.
The Chicken Deluxe Burger was due to be retired from the menu on Tuesday June 15, so fans may not be able to get one at all before then.
And hundreds of fans have posted on social media saying that their local restaurant is out of stock – and they are not happy about it.

Kirk tweeted: “McDonald’s ay, ay, ay sort it out. Got no Chicken Selects, kids are crying. Wife livid, thank God my Nan and Grandad aren’t alive to witness this.”
Hannah said: “Are Mcdonald’s acc having a shortage of Chicken Selects I’m SCREAMING ffs.”
While McDonald’s insists this a a short-term issue, plenty of customers have been panicking that the Selects have been completely discontinued.
For instance Darcie said on Twitter: “are u joking McDonald’s have got rid of Chicken Selects this is genuinely the worst thing that has ever happened to me.”
This might be because the fast food chain has removed the items from its websites online entirely, making it look like they’re gone for good.
But a spokesperson told The Sun: “We are working incredibly hard to get this popular menu item back on sale in our restaurants.
“We know some customers will be disappointed to hear this news, and we would like to apologise for the short term inconvenience.”
The good news is that chicken nuggets are still in strong supply so you can get your McDonald’s chicken fix that way.
Both the Chicken Legend burger and the McChicken Sandwich options are still available as well.
The Sun asked McDonald’s what was causing the shortage of Chicken Selects, but the chain declined to comment.
