Most restaurants are closed for indoor dining due to the coronavirus pandemic and will not reopen until mid-April.

But customers can still pick up McDonald’s take away, drive-thru or have their happy meals delivered.

Customers should be aware that branches may be operating reduced hours over the bank holiday.

Here’s everything you need to know.

When does McDonald’s open over Easter 2021?

McDonald’s restaurants should be operating as normal over Easter weekend.

However, opening times vary from branch to branch and some may be operating at slightly reduced hours.

Since closing times at McDonald’s branches differ, it’s always a good idea to check your local restaurant’s hours.

You can do this using the branch finder on the fast food chain’s website.

This will also provide further information about the store facilities and stock.

McDonald’s told the Sun that customers can get the most up to date information on operating hours at their local branch over Easter via the My McDonald’s App or the restaurant locator.

We’ve asked if there are any branches that are closing all day over the Easter break and will update this page when we know more.

Is McDonald’s delivering over the Easter weekend?

Mcdonald’s should still be offering delivery services over Easter weekend but this will depend on the store’s opening hours.

The fast food chain told the Sun that customers will need to head to JustEat or Uber Eats for information on deliveries from franchises this weekend.

When are the Easter holidays this year?

For 2021, the spring bank holiday weekend falls earlier than it did last year – in the first week of April.

Good Friday is on April 2 making Holy Saturday – which isn’t a bank holiday – April 3.

Easter Sunday falls on April 4 and bank holiday Easter Monday is April 5.

For schools in England, the Easter break starts on Thursday, April 1 and ends on Friday, April 16 this year.

In Wales, schools will be shut for the Easter holidays from Monday, March 29 until Friday, April 9.

To check the exact term dates for your school in Wales and England you can enter your postcode on gov.uk. Scotland has slightly different times too.

What are the upcoming bank holiday dates for 2021?

Here is the full list of 2021 bank holidays in England and Wales.

In other news, McDonald’s customers will soon be unable to collect paper stickers as part of a loyalty scheme shake-up.

Meanwhile, a former employee of the fast-food chain has revealed his ultimate “life hack” to keep their fries crispy – and it works every time.

We also explain what time McDonald’s breakfast starts and ends.
