The VIP card will allow 1,000 lucky winners to claim a free McDonald’s meal every week for a whole year.

McDonald’s hasn’t revealed what the other prizes will be, but they will be announced closer to the launch date.

In 2019, the last time McDonald’s ran the promotion, four burger fans could have won £100,000 cash.

A Mini Cooper was also on offer for 20 lucky winners who collected all three green properties.

Plus you could have won £2,000 holiday spending money and a PS4 console as well as a mobile phone with a one-year contract.

The game, which was due to return in March 2021 but was postponed due to ongoing Covid restrictions, will run for six weeks.

Due to the cancellation, more than 200million Monopoly game pieces had already been printed and dated.

McDonald’s has told customers to check the dates on its website to make sure you don’t miss out on a chance to bag a prize.

The popular game has been delayed for two years due to restaurant closures during the pandemic.

McDonald’s launched the competition in 2005 and it works in a similar way to the classic Monopoly board game.

Customers collect game pieces when they buy qualifying McDonald’s products, such as colour co-ordinated road names or train stations.

You’ll be able to find them as stickers which will appear on the packaging of your food.

Each piece represents a tile on the board which you can pick up for free in the restaurant or play along online.

When you collect a set, you get a prize, and there are also “instant wins” which allow you to claim your goodies right away.

McDonald’s is rolling out reusable ‘rented’ coffee cups that customers return after drinking to help the environment.

The burger chain’s fans were left disappointed by the new McSpicy burger, slamming its “underwhelming” flavour.
