The fast-food chain has a daily changing menu of wraps to add a little something to your midday meal.

The wraps normally cost £3.49 on their own, or £4.99 as part of a meal, but prices can vary.

Flavours have included the Garlic Mayo Chicken One, The Sweet Chilli Chicken One, The Spicy Veggie One and The BBQ Chicken and Bacon One.

And now, the deal which reduces the popular item to just £1.99 has been axed from delivery through Uber Eats, Just Eat and the My McDonald’s app.

But McDonald’s has assured customers that the deal will still be available when ordering in restaurant or via click and serve.

McDonald’s fans have taken to social media to share their anger at the decision to remove the deal from delivery.

Writing on Twitter, one person said: “Whaaaaat? Since when? I live off these. Still had one at £1.99 the other day…”

While another raged: “Why did McDonald’s get rid of the Wrap of the Day? Cost of living!”

And a third simply described the decision as “outrageous”.

A McDonald’s spokesman confirmed the news, and added that customers will instead see more tailored offers its app and MyMcDonald’s Rewards.

The app can keep you up to date with the franchise’s latest deals as there’s a whole tab dedicated to discounts.

There are various features that will save you time when ordering and could get you money off selected products.

It comes after McDonald’s scrapped the popular potato waffles – a breakfast favourite – in December.

Earlier this month, the burger chain launched a  spicy sriracha chicken wrap and a double McPlant burger.

How do I find my nearest McDonald’s?

If you’re planning on taking a trip to McDonald’s, you’ll want to know where your nearest branch is.

The chain has a restaurant locator tool on its website you can use to find your nearest one – and check what time it opens.

Bear in mind that McDonald’s serves breakfast every day until 11am.

After that, the menu switches to the normal menu serving meals such as burgers, chicken nuggets and more.

How can I save on my McDonald’s order?

There are plenty of ways you can save on your next trip to McDonald’s.

You should choose your branch wisely – menu prices can vary across different restaurants just a couple of miles apart.

We’ve seen Big Mac meals up to 30p cheaper before, which added up over the course of a year could save you a fair few pounds.

You can also get freebies on your birthday if you’ve got the My McDonald’s app.

Remember to log your date of birth on the app though, otherwise you’ll miss out.

You can get a Big Mac and fries for just £1.99 as well if you fill out the quick feedback survey following your last visit.

All you’ll need is your receipt which should have been issued no more than 60 days after your visit.
