A WHOPPING £1.2 million National Lottery jackpot is still up for grabs a week after the New Year’s Eve draw.

One lucky winner is yet to claim their £1,221,799 prize after matching five main numbers and the bonus ball in the special Lotto Must Be Won draw.

The winning Lotto numbers on New Year’s Eve 2022 were 27, 34, 47, 56, 57, 58 and the bonus ball was 19

The usual £1 million prize was topped up because no ticket matched all six main numbers in the jackpot.

After the jackpot rolled down to boost the runner-up prize, the National Lottery revealed that the matching ticket was bought in a shop.

Andy Carter, who advises lottery winners for Camelot, said: “Players should check their tickets and contact us as soon as possible so that we can pay out another fantastic Lotto prize.

“What an amazing way to start 2023, if only the ticket-holder would come forward.”

The winner has 180 days from the New Year’s Eve draw to claim the massive prize.

If they do not come forward within a fortnight, Camelot will reveal the area where the winning ticket was bought.

The New Year’s Eve jackpot comes after a couple who won £100,000 a month for an entire year had their first carefree Christmas for two decades.

Craig Harrison, 60, and his partner Debbie Piper, 58, won the top prize on a National Lottery 12 Pays of Christmas scratch card.

The couple, who have been together for 35 years, run the beachside Jolly Sailors pub in Lowestoft.

For the last 20 years they have spent Christmas Day serving regulars their roast turkey.

After they scooped the top prize in the scratch card contest, the couple enjoyed Christmas at home with their family.

But lucky punter Neil Trotter said he found his new lifestyle of mansions and supercars boring after he scooped a £108m EuroMillions jackpot.
