Martin explained that there are Black Friday broadband and line switch deals that could benefit millions.

He said the millions are they people who are now out of contract – and wouldn’t have to pay to break their current plan.

Martin revealed there are some “good deals” this year that will pay off for Brits – but they’re only on offer for a small period.

The expert said on tonight’s The Martin Lewis Money Show: “There are seven million of you who are out of contract – you can halve your price and double speed.”

He went on to explain the three best deals on offer – and how much savvy people could cut their monthly costs.

The first deal was with Shell Energy Broadband, which would see customers pay the equivalent of £17 a month for 67Mb speed fibre and a phone line.

Martin explained this was because customers would pay £10 upfront, the £24 a month.

However, he explained that customers could also get their hands on a £90 or £100 Amazon voucher – which would bring the overall yearly cost down.

The next best deal was through PlusNet, and would work out at the equivalent of £25 a month for 145Mb speeds and full fibre.

Martin said while it costs £27 a month, customers can claim a £50 prepaid card.

He explained however that as it’s full fibre – and runs straight to homes – it’s only available to about 52% of the population.

The next deal is with Vodafone and will see Brits get 500Mb speeds of full fibre for the equivalent of £30 a month.

Martin explained it will cost £32 a month but customers can claim a £50 or £55 Amazon, M&S or Tesco voucher.

It is however again only available to about half the population as fibre doesn’t run direct to every home.

The finance guru also warned of an “absolutely crucial” check parents must make that could see them get £48,000 for free.

He said on this evening’s show that about 200,000 families are currently missing out on the cash.

Martin also revealed drivers can get a winter essentials car check for free at Halfords.

He said: “Halfords has a free 10-point winter car check with no purchase needed.”

All drivers have to do is sign up for the Halfords Club.

The expert explained that the car giant would likely try to “upsell” to motorists – but he said drivers didn’t have to buy anything.

Martin continued: “So sign up to its free Halfords Club and book your car check online and in store.

“Break lights, wiper blades, battery health, screen wash and tyre depth, they’ll check it for you.

“You may as well get it, you don’t have to pay anything for doing so.”
