A MAJOR sports brand with 40 UK stores has announced it is opening a new shop in a former New Look unit in days.
Sport lovers will be delighted – as the world’s largest active-wear firm is opening a new branch in Teesside.

Locals are counting the days until Nike launches its new store at Teesside Park.
The fashion giant has now revealed the exact date shopper will be able to nab their favourite Air and Jordan trainers.
Staff have announced the new Nike Unite store will be open to the public on February 22.
‘Nike Unite’ is the latest expression of the global Nike Unite store concept.

The new store in the area will offer an innovative shopping experience for customers through an Interactive Service Desk.
The service desk offers a wide range of online to offline services, such as click & collect, digital orders ,returns a self-service checkout and more.
The iconic orange frontage will take over the former New Look unite on the shopping park.
Centre director at Teesside Park Catherine Furlong said: “Not only will the Nike Unite store bring great sportswear ranges and new experiences for our visitors.

“But it will also provide job opportunities for the local area. I’m sure this one is going to be hugely popular.”
Nike is expected to be the park’s first new retailer to open in 2024, with Primark, Flannels, and adventure park Ninja Warrior now confirmed to be opening stores soon.

Bosses launched the new stores in a bid to better representing the local community.
The firm said it will offer “in and out of store experiences for customers” and will connect shoppers to sport.
Customers will also be able to snap up a wide variety of clothing and accessories for men, women and children.
The new Jordan rage will also be available – including all the latest models.
It comes as shoppers hailed the takeover of a giant Grade II-listed former M&S store as a “huge boost” for the area.
The Frasers Group, which owns the Sports Direct brand, has acquired Compton House on Liverpool’s famous Church Street.

The group, owned by businessman Mike Ashley, said the 93,000 square feet site will become the new flagship store for Sports Direct.
An Everlast Gym will also share the space, subject to planning approval, in a boost for fitness fanatics.
