A MAJOR fast food chain has locked it’s doors and shared a sad message with shoppers after closing down.
A KFC restaurant in Dorset has shut – with signs stuck to the restaurant’s windows reading “sorry, we are closed”.
A spokesperson for the popular chain explained they are “reviewing their portfolio” of stores, and has had to close some in the mean time.
A statement read: “We’re constantly reviewing our portfolio of over 1,000 restaurants and at times, this sadly means we need to close some, while looking for opportunities to open new restaurants in other locations across the country.
“Since 2018 we have opened over 200 restaurants and right now, we’re looking to open another 500 sites across the country over the next 15 years.
“However, we understand that any restaurant closure is disappointing, but our loyal fans can always find their next nearest restaurant on our website.”
