MCDONALD’S staff have threatened to quit over its woke new uniform of jogging bottoms and beanies.

The burger chain says the range is made from recycled polyester.

A picture of the bright T-shirts, bandanas, jeans and white trainers, was leaked in a Facebook group.

Staff blasted the idea of white shoes in a kitchen, while another hoped it was an April Fool’s Joke.

One staff member told The Sun: “It all feels very woke.

“If I was forced to wear it, I’d walk out.”

“And I’m pretty sure most of my colleagues would too.

“People will be discouraged from working there.

“It changes the look to a more urban style which doesn’t suit the brand at all.

“I just don’t understand it.

“I think they’re trying to be more like Five Guys and copy them – they’re sacrificing practicality for style.”

Worker Bukky, in South London, said: “Having the option to choose what I wear is important to me.”

The clothing will be trialled in select restaurants over the coming weeks with a launch in early 2025.

James Thorne, at McDonald’s UK & Ireland, said: “It gives team members the opportunity to create a look that reflects who they are.”
