Made.com has suspended sales as it teeters on the brink of collapse.
The online furniture business, which sells sofas, bean bags and antique brass lamps, shut down its website and stopped taking new orders yesterday.
If the business does not find a buyer or secure new funding before it runs out of cash it will collapse into administration.

The beleaguered furniture chain was set up in 2010 by Lastminute.com founder Brent Hoberman and French wellness businesswoman Chloe Macintosh, backed by entrepreneurs Ning Li and Julien Callede.
Made.com’s mission was to make high-end designer furniture and homewares accessible to everyone and it was once hailed as transforming the way we buy furniture.
After Made joined the stock market, it was battered by the double whammy of supply chain chaos and a drop off in demand as the cost of living soars.
The collapse raises fears for Made’s 650 staff who could lose their jobs as part of an administration process. It also sparked worry among those with outstanding orders at the firm, who now may not get their furniture.
