The 41-year-old actor and his long-time girlfriend are preparing to tie the knot after Brenda, 33, was recently seen wearing a diamond ring on her left hand while she was out and about in Beverly Hills, People reports.
Macaulay and Brenda – who gave birth to their first child, a son called Dakota, nine months ago – were romantically linked for the first time in 2017, when they were seen eating together at Craig’s in Los Angeles.
The celebrity duo appeared together on Instagram shortly afterwards and although they prefer to keep their romance lowkey, they announced the arrival of their baby boy in April last year.
In a statement at the time, they simply said: “We’re overjoyed.”
Brenda also took to social media in August 2021 to celebrate the ‘Home Alone’ star’s 40th birthday.
The actress described herself as the “luckiest person in the world”.
Brenda wrote on Instagram: “Happy 40th birthday to this magical being. I could sit here and write endlessly about how wonderful, kind, loving, genuine, loyal, honest, brilliant and hilarious you are, and how grateful I am that I get to share and do this life thing with you.
“But firstly, that would take me an eternity and secondly, you won’t even see this because you don’t ever use instagram. Hahaha. My unicorn that I never thought could exist, I am luckiest person in the world because I am loved by you. (sic)”
In 2018, meanwhile, Macaulay admitted to loving life with Brenda.
He said: “I have a pretty little family – a pretty girl, a pretty dog, a pretty cat and all that stuff. We’re gonna move. We’re doing the house thing and all that kind of stuff.”
