Lottery bosses confirmed the claim was made with just hours left on the clock before the ticket expired.

A total of 20 prizes from the draw have now been claimed, meaning that 20 brand new millionaires have been created.

The claim will now go through a validation process before the money is paid out.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said, “What amazing news for this lucky ticket-holder who has claimed their prize with just hours to spare before it was due to expire!

“We will now focus on supporting the ticket-holder through the process.

“The National Lottery is all about making life-changing things happen, and with the special EuroMillions draw on 4 November last year 20 lucky ticket-holders are now life-changing millionaires.

“Players can buy and check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk.

“Players can also buy and check tickets in retail. Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you’re a winner.“
