NO winner took home the $86million Powerball jackpot from Saturday night’s drawing, raising the stakes for the Monday night drawing.

The next drawing, on Monday, October 25, will boast a $93million jackpot. That’s a cash value of around $65.3million.

The winning numbers for the October 23 Powerball drawing were 10, 30, 51, 57, and 63. The Powerball was 20 and the Power Play was 2x.

The winning Mega Millions numbers for October 22 are 09, 14, 26, 29 and 66, and the Mega Ball was 22. The Megaplier was 3X.

Powerball numbers are drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 11pm ET.

    Arizona Lottery Executive Director Gregg Edgar told ABC-15: “Our Powerball players love to pursue that jackpot and this going to give more opportunities for that jackpot to grow faster and larger.”

    The Powerball website explains: “The Powerball jackpot grows until it is won. Players select five numbers from 1 to 69; and one Powerball number from 1 to 26.

    NOTE: The Match 5 + Power Play prize is always $2 million. The 10X multiplier is only in play when the advertised jackpot is $150 million or less.

    One of the largest multistate lotteries plans to remain “on the forefront of consumers’ minds.”

    But there aren’t plans to add more drawings, said Pat McDonald, president of the Mega Millions Consortium and director of the Ohio Lottery.

    Brandon Thompson and Wyatt Close, both 19, won a $3million scratch-off lottery ticket in Tennessee.

    The winning ticket was bought on October 1st, and it was a $30 Jumbo Bucks Ticket.

    “I saw those black bold numbers and just started jumping,” said Close in a statement.

    “I thought he was going to jump through the roof of the van,” said Thompson.

    The teens said they plan on using their winnings to save and invest.

  • CAN I PURCHASE A MEGA MILLIONS TICKET IN ONE STATE AND REDEEM IT IN ANOTHER?

    The simple answer is no.

    Mega Millions is sold by individual lotteries, so winning tickets must be redeemed in the state they were purchased in.

    However, lotteries usually have a claim-by-mail option for most prizes.

    MegaMillions jackpots start at $20million with smaller prizes equaling $1-2million or more with a Megaplier.

    The other largest multistate lottery is the Powerball.

    According to Powerball’s website, the lottery is also open to non-US citizens.

    “Players can include both the Power Play® and Double Play® features on their Powerball ticket, however, the Power Play multiplier does not apply to prizes won in the Double Play® drawing.”

    There are several ways to remain anonymous to claim a lottery prize.

    One way is to not tell anyone you scored the jackpot or not change much of your lifestyle to avoid having your identity revealed if you won the lottery.

    Deleting social media accounts, changing phone numbers, and changing addresses can be a way to protect yourself if you can’t stay anonymous after a lottery win.

    Buying a lottery ticket in a state that does not require winners to come forward is perhaps the most effective way to make sure you can conceal your identity.
