Waitrose‘s cracking pistachio egg delivers exactly what the name suggests.

It consists of a creamy chocolate on the outside, and the inside hides a surprising pistachio flavoured egg.

The new treat even resembles a pistachio with blonde chocolate egg perfectly imitating the nut’s shell.

And the green egg inside emulates the pistachio’s colour and flavour.

The customers have hailed it a “Russian doll” with a smaller egg nestled inside a bigger one.

The only thing better than getting a chocolate egg is finding a second one hidden inside.

The find was posted on Instagram with the reviewer calling it “a dream flavour combination”.

The sweet treat is scanning for £14 at Waitrose’s tills – it might not be a bargain, but you do get two eggs for the price.

The reviewer added that the blonde chocolate tasted delicious, but the pistachio egg “seemed to lack distinct nuttiness and depth of flavour”.

The shoppers have rushed to the comments to weigh in their opinions.

Another one added: “Looking forward to trying this one.”

“This looks gorgeous. I feel like a lot of places miss the mark with pistachio tho,” someone else said.

But if this doesn’t appeal to your taste buds, then Cadbury’s newly launched collaboration with Domino’s might leave you buzzing.
