Virgin Media has set up a brand new gaming space in the O2 Arena in London.

The Virgin Media Gamepad is now open in London’s O2 arena and the space is kitted out with a bunch of high-end gaming equipment.

Open from 12pm to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 7pm on Sunday, this space is available for anyone to walk in for a quick gaming session.

Anyone can come in to get a 30-minute session at one of 16 stations where you can play on the Xbox Series X, which can all be connected for multiplayer sessions.

The team there has set up a host of popular titles that are constantly being added to, as well as a Game Pass Ultimate subscription, so you’re bound to find something worth playing.

Plus, if you’re an O2 Priority or Virgin Media customer, you can book an hour-long session with up to 5 friends in The Cave.

The Cave is a lounge space with a sofa and one big screen for you and your friends to play games together.

Inside there is a fridge stocked with free drinks and a free gumball machine too.

Like the other stations, this uses an Xbox Series X for its gaming, but can’t just walk in to use it – you’ll need to book in advance.

Despite its verticality, the space is fully wheelchair accessible, so anyone can come and use it.

There is also a dedicated streaming space in there, kitted out with a top-of-the-line gaming PC running an Nvidia 4090 GPU.

This streaming isn’t currently open to the public, working on an invite-only basis with creators like Outside Xbox frequently using it.

However, the team there says they are working on implementing a system that would allow aspiring streamers to come in and try out their equipment.

While the O2 Arena is a little out of the way in London, it is easily reachable via the Jubilee Line on the London Underground, and the Gamepad itself is just past the entrance.

If you’re in the area or are coming to the arena for a show, you can easily swing by and game for a while to kill the time.
