SHOPPERS planning on heading to Lidl over the Bank Holiday weekend should make note of its opening hours.
Retailers often change their store opening times for Bank Holidays to give their staff some time off.
There are three Bank Holidays to enjoy, with the May Day Bank Holiday landing on the first day of the month.
Just a week later, Brits will be treated to another day off in celebration of King Charles’ Coronation on May 6, 2023.
The third Bank Holiday in the month will be on May 29, 2023.

What are Lidl’s opening times?
Lidl stores will open as normal on Bank Holiday Saturday and Sunday.
On both Bank Holiday Monday, most stores across England and Wales will open between 8am and 8pm.
Stores in Scotland will also remain open as normal.

The supermarket said store opening times may vary and customers should check the store finder on Lidl’s website for details.
Lidl is predicting that the quietest time to shop will be before 11am and after 4pm, with the middle of the day usually seeing the highest footfall.
Are shops closed on the Bank Holidays?
Retailers’ opening hours will vary over the May Bank Holidays, so you should check each specific store to avoid a wasted journey.
The vast majority of Sainsbury’s stores should be open on May 1, 8 and 29, for example.
Most supermarkets and large high street chains have store locators on their website which you can use to find the opening hours for your nearest branch.
In most cases you just have to enter your postcode into the search bar and it will tell you what time that store is open and closed.
