LIDL is selling a hanging kids “cave” for £20 and it’s up to half price less than its rivals.
The chair comes in different colours including pink and blue – and it looks like the kid’s version of Aldi’s sell-out swinging egg chair.

You can use it both indoors and outdoors, and it comes with a comfy cushion for kids to sit on.
There’s a hook at the top so you can hang the cave from a sturdy tree or a beam.
The hook also swivels, so the chair will rotate when your little one sits in it.
It’s 165cm high and 55cm wide, so make sure you have enough room for it.
Lidl says it’s made out of “hard wearing” material and is weather resistant – so you don’t have to find somewhere to store it if it rains.

One eagle-eyed shopper spotted the cave in the Middle of Lidl, and posted the find to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.
Hundreds of shoppers liked and commented on the post.
One said “How cute is that,” while another commented “These look brilliant.”
The Middle of Lidl is where you can often pick up random items at bargain prices.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
But once they’re gone, they’re gone, so you might want to head to your local branch sooner rather than later if you’re keen to buy one.

We spotted that Lidl’s chair was going for much less than a number of other rival shops.
Amazon is selling a similar looking chair for £40 – £20 more than Lidl’s.
Ryman is selling a hanging chair which looks like a whale for £39, while Wayfair is selling one for a tenner more than Lidl’s at £30.
Before you splash out, make sure you check prices online.
You might find you find the same – or similar – item for less at another shop.
