SHOPPERS planning on heading to Lidl over Easter should make note of its opening hours.
The Easter period usually changes store opening times and thousands of stores across the country will close their doors to shoppers.
Good Friday (April 7), Easter Saturday (April 8), Easter Sunday (April 9) and Easter Monday (April 10) are days when supermarkets might shake up their opening hours.
Bear in mind not all shops will have the same opening and closing hours, so do check before heading out.
You can do that by searching the times at your local branch which you can find using the store locator tool online.
Shops in England and Wales larger than 280 square metres have to close on Easter Sunday and Christmas Day, under Government rules.
And Sunday trading laws stipulate that any stores that choose to remain open on the last day of the week can only do so for six consecutive hours between 10am and 6pm.
What are Lidl’s opening times?
Lidl will be closed on Easter Sunday (April 9), opening again on Easter Monday between 8am-8pm.
Opening times may vary across stores, so you should check with your local branch.

The supermarket has confirmed branches across England and Wales will be open as normal until 10pm on Good Friday and Saturday.
If you live in Scotland, you should double check your local branch as opening times might be different.
Lidl has over 935 stores in the UK.
It comes as several other supermarkets already confirmed to The Sun what their opening hours will be over the Easter bank holiday.
Which other shops are closing over Easter?
Tesco will also be closing its large stores in England, Northern Ireland and Wales on Easter Sunday, April 9.
However, shops in Scotland will open in line with Sunday trading hours.
The supermarket chain has also announced that many of its large stores will be operating reduced hours on Easter Monday too.
It said that the majority of its Express stores will remain open on the Sunday, and all shops will return to normal trading hours on the Monday.
And on Good Friday many of its stores will be open as usual but those that are normally open late will close earlier at 10pm.
But these aren’t guaranteed opening hours and will vary depending on the shop.
Again do check on the Tesco store locator if you want to be sure.
Elsewhere, Aldi is closing all its England and Wales stores on Easter Sunday.
The retailer said branches will be open between 8am and 10pm on Good Friday, 8am to 10pm on Easter Saturday and 8am to 8pm on Easter Monday.
Meanwhile, Sainsbury’s will pull down shutters on 600 big stores in England and Wales on Easter Sunday too.
Asda has also revealed that its England, Wales and Northern Ireland branches will close on April 9 while its Scotland shops will remain open.
