Leni Robredo is a well-known Filipino lawyer, social activist, and politician.

She is currently serving as the Philippines’ 14th and current vice president.

Interestingly, Robredo is the Philippines’ second female vice president, after Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, and the first vice president from the Bicol region.

She declared her candidacy for the presidency in the 2022 election on October 7, 2021.

Leni Robredo First Husband Jesse Robredo Death: Has She Married Again 2022?

Leni Robredo was married to her first and only husband, Jesse Robredo. 

So far, there has been no word on her remarriage in 2022.

In 1987, she met her husband while working at the Bicol River Basin Development Program.

Jesse was a Filipino politician, serving in President Benigno Aquillo III’s administration as Secretary of the Interior and Local Government from 2010 until he died in 2012.

On August 24, 2012, his funeral was held at the Archbishop’s Palace in Naga before being relocated to Malacanang Palace for an official wake.

During Robredo’s term as Secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government, he focused on transferring thousands of residents from Manila’s slums to housing projects.

The work was done to clear Metro Manila’s waterways and make room for flood mitigation projects and other improvements.

In 2018, she flew to New York University to pursue a biomolecular science degree.
