In the last couple of weeks, Wetherspoons saw the price of its pint fall below £2 in more than 800 boozers.

During the discount period, the average pint of Budlight was £1.99, a pint of Doom Bar at £1.99 and a classic cocktail cost just £2.99.

Prices for non-alcohol options dropped as well with coffee, hot chocolate and Pepsi Max set to return to their usual prices.

Punters will no longer be able to get reduced prices on a range of spirits – including AU Vodka and Sidemen XIX Vodka.
