A LANDLORD has been blasted for advertising a property for rent without a very basic home feature.
Prospective tenants looking at renting the terrace in Littleborough, Manchester, for £475 per month have been told they will have to put in their own FLOORING.

The estate agent advert boasts the stone cottage sits in a quiet location close to beautiful Hollingworth Lake and open countryside.
But it warns prospective tenants that anyone wanting to rent the one bedroom property that it is unfurnished and “any successful applicant would be expected to put their own flooring in.”
The advert on Rightmove by Andrew Kelly estate agents provoked outrage from tenants.
One woman tweeted: “How is this allowed please?
“The landlord basically wants you to not only pay their mortgage but also carpet their entire house from top to bottom? On what planet???”

“Benefits include gas central heating, double glazing and private rear yard.
“Please be aware the property is let un-furnished and any successful applicant would be expected to put there own flooring in.”
However, grants are available for carpets and furniture for households on low income.
A number of charities and not-for-profit organisations also provide free or cheap items to those who need them.
