Party says it is redrawing the map after overturning large Tory majorities in Tamworth and Mid Bedfordshire
Labour has won two historic byelections, overturning huge Conservative majorities in Tamworth and Mid Bedfordshire in what a Labour frontbencher called a “political earthquake”.
The party overturned a near-20,000 majority in Tamworth and one of close to 25,000 in Mid Bedfordshire on a night that bolstered the party’s claims to be heading for power at the next general election.
