Each day of the week there are typically different types of savings to look out for in the supermarkets.

Here’s my guide . . .

MONDAY: Get your shopping sorted for the rest of the week by jumping in early.

Check out supermarket loyalty apps, and coupon apps like Shopmium.

TUESDAY: This tends to be the day when new deals are released at Iceland.

Tuesday is also when the supermarket offers ten per cent off for over-60s with an Iceland Bonus Card.

Make the most of it and stock up your freezer.

WEDNESDAY: The over-60s can bag another good deal with ten per cent off at Asda cafes on Wednesdays.

Before heading out for that cheap lunch, check the store’s best deals at Asda.com to see if you can bag a bargain.

THURSDAY: Aldi’s fortnightly Super Six deals on fruit and veg.

Super Weekly offers on meat and fish and some Specialbuys hit the shelves today at Lidl.

Look out for new food promotions launching on Thursday, along with Middle of Lidl bargains.

FRIDAY: If you are a myWaitrose customer, head to the fish counter for 20 per cent off selected items.

Take along a reusable cup and get yourself a free coffee.

SATURDAY: This is another good day for myWaitrose customers, with 20 per cent off some items at the meat counter.

Also look out for occasional offers from the other supermarkets.

Morrisons More customers recently got 20 per cent off steaks on Saturdays.

SUNDAY: More non-food items land in store at Aldi and Lidl on the last day of the week-end.

Sunday is also the best day to bag yellow-sticker bargains at all the supermarkets. Head there 45 minutes before the stores shut up shop.
