THERE’S just hours left to get your hands on a FREE lot of cash, to the tune of £125.
It’s all thanks to Halifax. The bank is generously giving out the money if you move your current account over to them – but not for long.
Banks will often give away a “bonus” to customers who switch over to them from someplace else.
Halifax is currently offering £125 if you move to its Reward account.
But the deadline for switching over is Monday, so you’ve got just about 48 hours to get a move on if you want to bag the free money.
Halifax says that anyone trying to make the jump after May 9 won’t qualify for the reward.
It’s not the only criteria though, and there’s a few other steps you’ll have to take to get the cash in your hot little hand.
You’ll need to use the Current Account Switching Service (CASS) to move account which means closing your old one.
It’s free to use and they manage most of the process for you.
You’ll also need to be eligible for the Halifax Reward Account, including paying in at least £1,500 a month, otherwise there’s a £3 monthly fee.

You can also get the bonus moving to the Halifax Ultimate Reward Current Account, but that comes with its own hefty £17 monthly fee.
You won’t get the cash if you move to any other Halifax account, or if you’ve already had cashback for switching to Halifax since April 2020.
But existing Halifax customers can still get the cashback moving to the Reward account.
They just have to make sure they haven’t had a bonus before, and use the CASS to complete the process.
