When is Black Friday 2021?
Black Friday is on November 26 this year. It falls the day after Thanksgiving in the US and traditionally begins at midnight between Thursday and Friday. You can check out our full guide to Black Friday 2021, including which retailers are taking part and what deals to expect.
Does John Lewis do Black Friday?
John Lewis does take part in Black Friday, slashing prices across large amounts of its stock. In previous years we’ve spotted deals on pretty much every category featured online at John Lewis, so it is worth bookmarking key items you have your eye on ahead of November.
Is John Lewis taking part in Black Friday this year?
We don’t have official confirmation that John Lewis will be taking part in Black Friday 2021. However, given that the retailer has taken part for the last few years, we reckon they’re a safe bet to take part once again in 2021. All deals will be available to view on the official John Lewis Black Friday hub online as soon as they launch.

Traditionally Black Friday begins at midnight on Thanksgiving in America, and there probably will be a few retailers that launch some midnight deals online in 2021. However, in recent years, a lot of the big high-street stores have started their Black Friday sales a few weeks before the big day. If you want to be first in line, keep your eye on the John Lewis website a few weeks ahead of November 26.
How long is John Lewis Black Friday sale on for?
Black Friday sales tend to last until Cyber Monday. However, some shops keep their deals running throughout December as people shop around for Christmas presents. John Lewis has not yet revealed whether it will offer deals beyond Black Friday or what sorts of things will be discounted. Cyber Monday is the online-focused event that follows the week after Black Friday. Pretty much every retailer that takes part in Black Friday keeps its offers running over the weekend and onto Cyber Monday. So if John Lewis takes part in Black Friday, we’d be surprised if the offers weren’t still available three days later on November 29.

At John Lewis you pay £3.50 for delivery on orders under £50, while purchases over £50 are delivered for free, though there are exceptions for large items being delivered to non-UK mainland locations. John Lewis offers shoppers a price match pledge with its ‘Never Knowingly Undersold’ policy, which states that if you find a product at a lower price elsewhere, you can make a price match request in store or online. Luckily for shoppers the ‘Never Knowingly Undersold’ policy is upheld during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday period, so if you spot a coveted item in stock that is cheaper elsewhere you’ll be able to take full advantage.
