Our tips for finding the best deals in the festive sales

IT might be tempting to dive in and snap up LOADS of items in the Christmas sales but here’s how you can guarantee you’re getting a good deal.

GET FOLLOWING Follow your favourite shops on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and sign up to its deals newsletter to get the latest on any offers. We post the best deals in our Sun Money FB group too.

“In a number of categories reports of excess stock seem to be wide of the mark, which means retailers aren’t desperate to offload overstock at margin-eroding discounts.

“This is particularly prevalent in general merchandise, which has been affected by stock delays and reported shortages. So don’t wait too long for that must have present or treat as it may sell out and never hit the sales.”

Next has a clearance across tens of thousands of items, from clothes for all the family to homeware with up to 75% off, like these Adidas trainers reduced from £75 to £32.
