Exclusive: vaccine advisers expected to recommend limited rollout to clinically vulnerable children

Government advisers have decided against recommending that all five- to 11-year-olds be offered the Covid vaccine, with only the most vulnerable children expected to be eligible immediately, the Guardian understands.

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) is expected to recommend a limited rollout to clinically vulnerable children on Wednesday, stopping short of suggesting that all primary age children should be vaccinated.
