Tori is the founder of the financial advice website, Her First 100k, in which Tori provides resources and advice to women on becoming financially independent, getting the wage they deserve and having the confidence to ask for more.

Tori shared in the TikTok video how she can comfortably retire at 26 and revealed exactly how she has done it.

She said: “I’m financially independent which means I never have to work a day in my life if I don’t want to.

“Here are the three ways that I made that happen and how you can do it too.

“I started investing as soon as I could.

“Now in my work as a money expert, I always tell people that the best day to start investing is today because you didn’t wait to start tomorrow.

“You have time on your side, so get started investing if you haven’t, or increase your contributions if you have already started.

“The next thing I did, when I was working corporate, I negotiated my salary, every single time.

“I didn’t stay in a job that didn’t compensate me fairly.

“And third, last but not least, this lovely seven-figure business that I own used to be a side hustle.

“I side hustled in addition to my 9-5 which means that I was able to put away all of the extra earnings that I made.”

Tori added she wouldn’t actually retire yet but that it was a great feeling to know she could if she did want to.

Helping women take control of their finances is really important to Tori, she shares that she started her first business at just nine years old, by purchasing vending machines and using that money to pay for college.

At the age of 20, she sold the business to a ten-year-old girl.

She wrote: “This is at the heart of financial feminism: embracing your power, and not only using it to get ahead but to help others get there too.”

Users were grateful for Tori’s advice, one wrote; “I wish I had known all this in my 20s. I’m 41 and still have 10 years to pay on student loans. But, I’m learning!”

Another added: “Goals. One day I’ll be there, but thanks for the bit of info to help me cross my finish line!”

“Goals goals goals!” Wrote a third person.
