RUGBY World Cup fans were left fuming over the weekend over an ITVX crash issue.

And the problem is still persisting today (October 2).

The problem has hit iOS 17 and iOS 16 users

iPhone and iPad users have complained that the popular app refused to load.

Bizarrely, the issue doesn’t appear to be as a result of the new iOS 17 update either.

Some users still using iOS 16 have reported similar problems.

“Can’t watch the rugby, pretty ridiculous that your app is still down after two days on my iPhone,” one user tweeted on X / Twitter.

“Why buy the right to the rugby when your app doesn’t work and hasn’t for a few days? It’s useless and disappointing,” another said.

A third added: “Want to watch the Rugby World Cup.

“Every other steaming app on my iPad works great except yours! Do something about this buffering issue, please. And don’t start with restart the router nonsense!”

Some users have found that uninstalling the app and reinstalling it works for one go.

But once you leave the app again and return at a later stage the crash returns.

ITV been responding to users saying that a fix is on the way.

“This will be resolved later on today, our tech team will be releasing a new update for the app, which will resolve this issue,” support staff tweeted.

To check whether an update is available manually, go to the App Store, search ITVX and see whether a blue Update button is there.
