POUNLAND shoppers are flocking to buy their favourite Easter egg treats scanning at tills for 80p.

And now a price war has kicked off among these retail chains, offering savvy shoppers some mind-blowing deals.

Poundland is the latest store to offer the Easter egg treats for as low as 80p.

A smart shopper shared the good news on the popular Facebook page Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK today.

Posting the picture of the Nestle treat, they wrote: “Brought myself an Easter egg from Poundland this morning.

“The shelf said “1.50 but it scanned through at just 80p.

“I am happy with my bargain.”

Just today, Morrisons slashed the pricing of their large 150g – 220g Easter eggs to just £1.99 each.

Customers who have a More card can avail of the offer both online and offline.

Non-members will be charged the full price of £3.50.

The deal is available from today and shoppers have been flocking to their nearest stores to stock up.

But you’ll have to be quick as these deals usually only last for a week.

  • Nestle Yorkig large egg – 196G
  • Cadbury Giant Buttons traditional gift shell egg – 195G
  • Cadbury Creme Egg traditional gift shell egg – 195G
  • Cadbury Mini Eggs traditional gift shell egg – 193.5G
  • Galaxy Minstrels large egg – 192G
  • Kit Kat Chunky large egg – 190G
  • Smarties large egg – 188G
  • Cadbury Wispa traditional gift shell egg – 182.5G

Other Easter egg deals

Tesco has also cut the prices of its large Easter eggs to just £2 and shoppers can nab chocolate favourites including Cadbury and Celebrations. 

The large-size chocolate Easter eggs are priced at £3 unless you have a Clubcard. 

The cracking deal includes a range of different Easter egg chocolates you will need to act fast as the deal is only available till March 5.

Meanwhile, Sainsbury’s has slashed the price of its extra-large Easter eggs with loads of popular brands on offer.

The supermarket has reduced the price of all large Easter eggs to just £4 for all Nectar card holders in the run-up to the holiday. 

Before the offer most extra large-size chocolate Easter eggs were priced at £6 and this will be the price if you purchase the chocolate eggs without a Nectar card

The deal includes a range of different Easter egg chocolates including some new additions. 

By comparison extra large Easter eggs otherwise known as ‘giant’ Easter eggs usually go for around £5 to £11.
