Is the Post Office open during the Easter holidays?

As with many stores, Post Office opening hours may vary over the bank holiday.

As well as sending letters and parcels, you can also use your local Post Office to access your high street bank account and make withdrawals, deposits, balance enquiries and more.

Prior to the Easter weekend, major branches will be open on March 28 – with typical opening hours in operation.

On the following day, Good Friday (March 29), Post Offices will be closed.

Branches will also be pulling down the shutters on Easter Sunday and bank holiday Monday.

Following the bank holiday period, major branches will be open as usual on April 2 – but it is recommended to check opening hours for smaller stores.

Customers can check a branch’s local Facebook page for information about opening hours or use the Post Office’s online branch locator tool.

It’s always worth double-checking to avoid any wasted journeys.

It is important to note that thousands of branches are typically located inside convenience stores and it is expected that many of these will remain open throughout the Easter weekend, with some even expected to be open on the bank holidays.

Aside from Post Office opening hours, we also have all the important dates you need to know when visiting Homebase, Wickes, B&Q, John Lewis, and Waitrose.

You can also find more information on your Royal Mail Easter deliveries here.

It’s always worth remembering that most retailers have store locators online – where you can check where your nearest branch is and its opening hours.

All you have to do is enter the town where you live or postcode, and a number of local stores and directions on how to locate them will be available to browse.
