GRAND THEFT AUTO has been a trailblazer in the world of gaming, releasing multiple titles across various platforms.
One of their more popular entries, GTA Online, allows players to cause chaos across the map of Los Santos with their friends but, can they do it across different platforms?
Is Grand Theft Auto cross platform?
Despite fans requesting the feature, cross platform play still isn’t available for Grand Theft Auto titles.
This means players can only play against other gamers on their respective platform.
Many other online gaming titles such as the Call Of Duty series, Fortnite and Minecraft already have cross platforming so it comes as a surprise that one of the more popular online games has not released it.
It is unknown the reason why Rockstar Games have yet to introduce cross platforming.
Many believe they have been too focused on GTA Online, GTA 6 and GTA: The Trilogy to be worried about cross platforming.
Will GTA 6 be cross platform?
So far, little detail has been announced about the next instalment of the GTA series.
GTA 6 has been heavily rumoured for years, with fans eager for Rockstar to release another game.
Leaks make fans believe the next title will be set in the Americas, becoming one of Rockstar’s most ambitious projects yet.
As the years have gone on, Rockstar has been slow to release new AAA games with Red Dead Redemption 2 being the last new title to be released in October 2018.
What consoles can I play GTA on?
