APPLE fans are raging after their iPhone 13 pre-orders were mysteriously “delayed”.
Mobile networks including EE, AT&T, Sky, Vodafone and Three have been named by irate tweeters – and several apologies have been issued.
The iPhone 13 is available today, but it’s been available to pre-order since last Friday.
Usually pre-ordering the new iPhone is a sure-fire way to get it delivered on launch day.
But irate customers have flocked to Twitter to moan about delays to their orders.
One angry buyer wrote: “Very disappointed with EE.
“My pre-ordered Apple iPhone 13 expected today has been delayed.”
EE replied accepting blame: “We’re really sorry there is a delay with your new phone, I realise this is frustrating.
“This is due to a technical error following high demand for the new iPhone 13.”
It’s a similar story in America – the home of the iPhone.
A frustrated customer wrote: “Once again AT&T scams customers.
“Accepts order for release day iPhone 13, says it will arrive on 24th.
“On the 23rd at 6pm they say it is delayed a week.
“Are their logistics that terrible or do they simply lie?”
We’ve asked EE, AT&T, Sky, Vodafone and Three for comment and will update this story with any response.
It’s unclear how many buyers have been affected by delays.
If you order some models today, you could be left waiting until November to receive your delivery.
It’s the same story in both the US and UK, signalling widespread demand for Apple’s shiny new gadget.
In the US, the iPhone 13 Mini is now shipping in 5 to 7 business days.

iPhone buyers flock to stores
Pre-orders might be delayed, but Apple Stores are still an option for people who want an iPhone 13 today.
Here’s Apple fan Kwame Pamboe, 33, who bagged an iPhone 13 this morning from Apple’s flagship store in London.
He told The Sun that it’s the first time he’d attended an Apple launch event. He only queued outside for three minutes before he was let in.
Kwame said he chose the 13 over the pricier Pro models as he doesn’t typically use the iPhone’s camera that much.
He also preferred the colours on offer.
