Meta faced outage days ago

Instagram’s outage comes after Meta faced a global outage of its products, including Instagram and Facebook Messenger, only days ago.

Nearly 7,000 people reported the app being down across Britain, with the figure peaking at 11.50pm, according to Down Detector.

Most reported seeing issues with the app and logging into the app.

When the app is accessed it appears to just continually load without the app updating.

Users complain about X

Instagram users are taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to address the outage.

Issues with logging in

Instagram users seem to be facing problems as the app shows that they’ve “logged out” of their accounts.

Even if users get back into their account, the app quickly logs them back out again – even with the correct username and password.

Over 5,000 problems reported in the US

Nearly 6,000 Instagram users reported problems with the app around 8:30 pm ET, per Downdetector.

Reports have dropped since then, but over 5,200 users are still having problems with the platform.

Meanwhile, in the UK, over 1,200 users have reported similar problems.

Instagram is down

Thousands of Instagram users are reporting issues with the app, per Downdetector.

The issues started around 7 pm ET and have since dropped and then spiked again.
