A NEWBUILD nightmare which sold for £800k is freezing with doors that don’t fit properly and has a dented dishwasher.
The “disgraceful” property was about to be handed over to its new owners when a long list of faults were discovered.
A housing inspector posted the shambles of the build on TikTok after he was hired to carry out a survey.
The list of issues was never-ending as the surveyor found fire doors with gaps, dented dishwashers and two doors that had blown.
In the video, he told how the three-storey, five-bed house was not acceptable and any developer who thought so was “shameful”.
He said: “No change from £800,00 and this is what you get.

“Around your front door, you get no door seals either. The front door is blown and it’s around eight weeks for a new one.
“You need to try and get those draft strips fitted in the meantime so you’re not freezing in the winter.
“Then when you have a look in the kitchen, there’s your fire door with a 20mm gap to the other side – so that doesn’t comply.
“In the dishwasher, you’ve got a nice big dent. The plinth lights also need covers on.

“And then the rear door is blown again – another eight weeks and a [replacement] will be fitted.
“So £800,000 for this three-storey, five-bedroom home, and that’s what the developer thinks is acceptable to handover.”
The video shocked hundreds of users who rushed to the comments.
One person said: “My three-bed, 1960’s house, I bought for £145k. It has less problems than a new build.”
A homeowner, who is currently living in a newbuild, said: “This is the same as us at the minute, but far, far worse.
“Our banister has collapsed, patio doors have come off, the garage is at risk of collapsing and the roof isn’t finished.”
Another buyer, also living in a newly built home, said: “I’ve been in my newbuild 12 months and I’m still waiting for my doors to be replaced – side door, front door, garage internal and downstairs internal living room.”
It comes after locals on an estate said their properties are riddled with issues.
What seems like the suburban dream in the Oxfordshire town of Didcot is actually a living hell for homeowners.
Robert told The Sunday Times: “You lean up against a wall and it wobbles.

“If I had enough money I probably wouldn’t buy a new-build.”
