THE idyllic cottage which was home to Doc Martin in the ITV series has been sold after the owners slashed the price by £265,000.
The Grade II Listed Fern Cottage in Port Isaac, Cornwall, has spent almost a year on the market since it was first put up for sale last April for £1.25million.

Now the property is officially under offer for around £985,000 after the owner lowered the asking price at least twice before agreeing a deal.
The two-bed stone cottage had been used in the comedy drama as the home and GP surgery of Doctor Martin Ellingham, played by Martin Clunes, for the last 18 years until the final episode on Christmas Day 2022.
The two-bed home boasts “uninterrupted sea and harbour views”.
And fans can even stay in the iconic home, but only for a limited time only til the sale goes through.
The current owner lets it out to holidaymakers and it is being sold with all forward bookings.
Fans of the show can still book to stay in the cottage this summer for £441 per night.
It has a stunning stone fireplace, dining room with a log-burner and a galley kitchen.
The current owner previously said: “When I acquired Fern Cottage, I quickly realised I was a custodian of a significant national treasure and became its keeper. It has been an incredible pleasure to be embraced by the local community.”

A source said: “There has been loads of interest with this one and loads of people wanting to look around it but selling it has been a bit of a journey.
“Now it is under offer and we are hopefully nearing completion.”
The picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac was also used as a setting for Poldark and Fisherman’s Friends.
Josephine Ashby, managing partner of estate agents John Bray, said the sale price agreed was close to the new asking price.
She added: “When it came on the market there was a huge amount of interest.
“We received an offer almost immediately but like selling a piece of art it is hard to determine what it is worth.
“Selling it has taken a bit longer than we expected but all parties are absolutely delighted with where we have ended up.”
And it is believed then new owners plan to continue using the cottage for holiday lets.
