Americans anticipate prices of key goods and services to rise and expect to spend more over the next year, a survey released by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York found.

The bank said households polled in its February Survey of Consumer Expectations are expecting that over the next year their spending will rise by 4.6%, up from 4.2% in January. The anticipated gain is the largest since December 2014, the bank said, and comes even as households expected a steady 2.4% rise in income, though that remains below a year-ago projected…
