AN enormous £13million National Lottery jackpot prize has been claimed by a single ticket-holder.

As with all major prizes, the claim will now go through the process of validation, which includes checks to ensure the Games Rules Terms and Conditions are adhered to and the integrity of The National Lottery is protected.

Subject to validation the prize will then be paid at an appointment with one of Camelot’s Winners’ Advisers.

Once the ticket has been validated and paid, the ticket-holder will then decide whether or not to go public and share their news.

There will be no information on whether they are an individual or syndicate winner, or where the ticket was purchased, unless the ticket-holder decides to go public.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said, “We’re over the moon that this fantastic Lotto jackpot prize has now been claimed.

“Winning a Lotto jackpot is the stuff that dreams are made of, and it’s even more magical in the lead up to Christmas.

“Just imagine the possibilities for Lotto’s latest multi-millionaire this festive season!

“Our focus is now on supporting this winning ticket-holder through the process and helping them start to enjoy their truly life-changing win.”

Andy added: “With the Christmas holiday season gathering pace, there’s a lot of festive cheer to be had for Lotto players.

“There are three Lotto draws left before Christmas day, so that’s three chances for players to win big before the big day.

“The last Lotto draw before Christmas takes place on December 23 and it’s going to be an amazing one, with a special £15m ‘Must Be Won’ Lotto jackpot up for grabs.

“What’s more, and to see the old year out and welcome in the new, on December 30 it’s another special £15m ‘Must Be Won’ Lotto jackpot draw.”

Players can buy and check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or via the website.

Players can also buy and check tickets in retail outlets.

Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize.

You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you’re a winner.
