A COIN collector is flogging a 50p Brexit coin for an eye-watering £15,000.

The eBay offering – coined as “very rare” – is billed as being in “good condition”.

The mint listing reads: “50p Very Rare Brexit Coin, Peace, Prosperity And Friendship With All Nations.”

They are flogging the ‘Queen Elizabeth II 50p: UK Withdrawal from European Union’ on eBay’s buy-it-now option for £14,999.

And despite ten million of the coin being minted, the seller is still commanding a hammer price 30,000 times its value.

This is in-spite the fact the exact same coin is selling for £3 in other listings on the online marketplace.

The pricey piece of silver – issued in 2020 – dons the traditional Queen’s head on one side.

On the other side, it says “Peace, Prosperity And Friendship With All Nations.”.

It is dated January 31, 2020, the day Britain formerly left the European Union.

Change Checker explained: “This departure is possibly one of the most historically significant events to happen in modern history.”

It comes as the same coin sold for £10,000 earlier this week – sparking millions of Brits to sift through their spare change hoping to pocket a wonder.

Meanwhile, last week a 2019 Paddington Bear coin sold for £1,500 to a bidder on eBay.
