For those who do try to tidy their Safari tabs up, how many go through and cross them off one by one?

It’s a time consuming process but an iPhone expert has just uncovered a clever way to wipe them all instantly in two seconds.

“How old were you when you learned you can press and hold the tab browser on your iPhone to save you three minutes of swiping?” said Twitter user @todayyearsoldig.

The tweet has since gone viral – so we assume not many people knew about it.

How to clear all Safari tabs

The clearing Safari tabs trick is very easy.

All you have to do is open the Safari app then tap and hold the tab icon in the bottom right.

A secret menu will appear.

You can tap Close All X Tabs to remove them all instantly.

Most read in Phones & Gadgets

Other options include Close This Tab, which will also save you a bit of time.

There’s New Private Tab and New Tab there as well.

So give it a go next time you need a quick tab purge.
