RING has a key setting that customers may have missed, and it picks up on when people are lingering near your front door.
It’s designed to stop intruders who might be scoping out your home while you’re away.
The Persistent Visitors feature is only available for customers with a Ring Door View Cam.
If it detects a potential intruder, you’ll get a special type of notification to alert you.
This is when people spend an extended amount of time in your camera’s field-of-view.
Users can even set the length of time a person has to stay in view before the device sends the special notification.
However, this feature is behind a paywall.
It is part of Ring’s Protect Plan, which has two tiers costing £3.49 or £8 a month and includes a raft of other features.
The Persistent Visitors feature is an optional feature under Smart Alerts, and can be turned on or off as you wish.
It will also only work while Person Alerts are on.
