In response to a question in a Facebook group about shopping deals, they said: “I’d say late morning is a good time once the reductions have been made.

“Also straight after Christmas/Easter/Halloween etc. like the few days after are brilliant! It’s all a little hit and miss unfortunately sorry!

“But earlier in the day the better after about 9/10am when the reductions have been made!”

They added: “Usually Boxing Day things start to go down then the days after things keep going down and down until they have all sold.”

However, shoppers should know that this can vary store to store.

The anonymous worker suggested using the deal scanner on the B&M app which can be used in store to check whether the item has been reduced online and get it brought down to that price.

They also revealed how the store can offer products for as little as 10p, saying: “For anyone wondering, at B&M we reduce old stock to 10p.

“Sometimes we have to store things out back for a year or more before they even hit the shelves and by then, they are 10p!

“I recommend downloading the B&M app and scanning anything to check. You can get loads for 10p at the right time.”

Other shoppers in the group were delighted by the advice, with one saying: “Great tip! I always see great finds on here but never in store when I go in.

“Will be downloading the app right now for my next visit.”
