A RYANAIR passenger won a life changing £84,000 after buying a £2 charity scratch card while on a flight.
Lara Mereacre purchased the card while travelling to Portugal to donate to a range of charities across Europe.
The mum-of-two moved to Liverpool from Portugal, and had been travelling home with her children and husband.
Laura and her family visited Ryanair’s HQ in Dublin to play for the chance of winning £1million and ended up cashing out £84k.
The young mum is hoping to spend her winnings on opening a bakery of her own, which has been a lifelong dream.
Laura said: “This has been an amazing experience that I’m delighted to be a part of.
“Words can’t describe how lucky and blessed I feel by this amazing opportunity.
“When I purchased this scratch card on a Ryanair flight to Portugal, I never imagined myself as the lucky winner of £84,000.
“I’m looking forward to celebrating my winnings with my family who is here with me today, my friends back home and paying off my mortgage.
“Who knows, I may even open my own bakery one day – a huge passion of mine.
